Harpy Studio is founded in 2011 by Ms Katrina Wong. We aim to provide professional harp performances for weddings and events. We pride ourselves on delivering exquisite musical experiences to add a touch of elegance and enchantment to any occasion.
We understand the importance of creating a memorable atmosphere for your special day. Our handpicked musicians are all music graduates with a wealth of performing experience. We work closely with our clients to understand their preferences and requests, in order to personalize the musical program for their special event.
Katrina Wong graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Bachelor in Music (Honours), major in harp. During her studies, she is the student of the world-class harpist, Ms. Dan Yu, and Ms. Ann Huang.
As an active harpist in Hong Kong, Katrina has performed with HKAPA Western Orchestra, HKAPA Chinese Orchestral, Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra, Hong Kong Amateur Orchestra and Millennium Youth Orchestra. She was also taken part in the Academy Opera, Les Contes d’Hoffmann and Gianni Schicchi.
Katrina has garnered recognition through her participation in numerous competitions, concerts, and harp festivals, both locally and internationally. She has achieved notable prizes in several competitions, such as Young Musician of The Year (Finalist with Distinction Award), Inter-School International Performance Challenge with Championship (Advance Level), International Harp Festival Harp Competition in Beijing Central Conservatory of Music (6th place with honorable mention), Singapore Asia Harp Chamber competition (Distinction Award), New York Golden Classical Music Awards (1st Prize). She also has been invited to perform in the Singapore Harp Festival Youth Showcase, the Hong Kong Harp Festival, and a winner’s concert in the Carnegie Hall in New York.
